FSA Awards 2022

In collaboration with Bristol City Women FC, the Supporters Club & Trust were nominated for the Supporter Engagement Award at this year’s Football Supporters Association (FSA) Awards

City Women fan representative Shahan Miah was in attendance at the awards ceremony in London on November 14 2022, alongside City Women chairperson Gavin Marshall & City Women operations manager Grace Williams.

Although the football club & Supporters Club & Trust did not win the Supporter Engagement Award, the recognition has indeed been appreciated. Congrats to Watford FC & to Women of Watford FC on the win

Following the arrival of D-M Withers & Shahan Miah onto the board in January 2021, there has been a steady increase in participation that the Supporters Club & Trust have done in the women’s game

Following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in 2021 the Supporters Club & Trust hold bi-annual structured meetings with Bristol City Women FC, which allow views from both sides to be heard. The most recent of these meetings were in August 2022

We are proud to have received the support provided from the football club, and we have collaborated to have helped promote & organise events; such City Women players now being included in our End of Season Awards since the 2020/21 season, and organising a coach for supporters to attend the away game at Charlton Athletic in October 2022

Additionally, the club facilitated communication with former players Loren Dykes & Corinne Yorston to have them inducted as the first City Women players to be inducted into the Bristol City Hall of Fame, and we organised a Fans Forum in our Supporters Bar which was panelled by club head coach Lauren Smith and Gavin Marshall back in April 2022.

We would also like to send our congratulations on Bristol City FC winning the Climate Action award for Bristol Sport’s Project Whitebeam.
