Bristol City Supporters Club & Trust are pleased to announce that Shahan Miah and D-M Withers have joined the board to represent the interests of City Women fans.
Shahan and D-M co-host the popular Bristol City Vixencast podcast and are regular guests on Geoff Twentyman’s Sound of the City on BBC Radio Bristol, discussing all things City Women.
Bristol City Women have been part of Bristol Sport since 2016, but this is the first time that fans of the Women’s Team have had board representation within the Supporters Club & Trust.
In line with the overall aims of Bristol City Supporters Club & Trust, Shahan (who also supports the men’s team!) and D-M hope to build relationships with key figures at the club and establish opportunities for constructive dialogue and fan influence.
“We are delighted to welcome D-M and Shahan on to the board”, says Chair Stu Rogers. “For any supporters’ group to remain relevant and effective, it is important to evolve to represent the interests of all Bristol City fans. These appointments make us even stronger”.
The SC&T is also planning some exciting events specifically for City Women fans in the coming months, so D-M and Shahan are encouraging all fellow fans to join up to be the first to hear about them.
If you’ve never watched City Women before, all games are free to view on the FA Player. Although the team is currently bottom of the Barclays FA WSL, the season is far from over and everything is to play for. We also have a semi-final in the Continental Cup to look forward to early February, so it could be an exciting end to the season…
