Bristol City Supporters Club & Trust are pleased to announce that Becs Sanchez has joined the board as the new City Women Fan Representative.
Becs has always been passionate about football from a young age, having first started playing at just six years old and continuing to play throughout her life. Although she has now retired from 11-a-side football, her involvement in the game continues, as she currently plays walking football for Bristol City Women’s Over 35s.
Her love of watching football began when she was nine years old, when her school was given free tickets to attend a Bristol City men’s team match.
It was her first experience of watching a live game. The atmosphere of the match meant she was immediately hooked and that experience sparked a lifelong love of Bristol City FC and later Bristol City Women FC.
Over the years, Becs has developed a particular passion for women’s football. Having previously coached girls’ teams, she has seen the importance of providing girls with the opportunity to play, develop and enjoy football.
She is a strong supporter of the continued growth and visibility of the women’s game and has been a Bristol City Women season ticket holder for a fair few seasons now.
Away from watching & playing football, Becs works for a heating & hot water appliance manufacturer and travels around the south west & south Wales fixing appliances.
Becs was co-opted onto the board in our August meeting and will formally join at our upcoming AGM which shall take place before the end of the season.
Becs has already started dialogue & attending meetings with officials from Bristol City Women.
Becs becomes the second person to join the SC&T board in 2026, with Nathan Riddiough’s appointment being confirmed at our AGM in January
As Becs becomes the new City Women Fan Representative, the SC&T can confirm that Shahan Miah has stepped down from this role but remains on the board in a smaller, more ad-hoc role.
We thank Shahan for all the hard work he has done & foundations set over the last five & a half years.
