Atmosphere at Bristol City
What a baffling decision Bristol City made at the West Ham match this Sunday. A flag which has graced Ashton Gate for the past eight years was removed from view of the Match of the Day cameras. The reason? It included the word “ultras” which has suddenly become unacceptable at Ashton Gate due to its supposedly negative connotation.

Atyeo Statue – The votes are in!
Thanks to the 1605 people who voted either online or at Ashton Gate for their choice of pose for the John Atyeo statue.
The overwhelming winner with 64% of the vote was big John with his hands in the air celebrating a goal.

Owner Steve Lansdown and Chief Executive John Pelling gamely fielded questions in front of a festive, and at times, noisy packed bar in Crewe. The seventh such event around the country organised by the Supporters Club & Trust came with an opening reminder of how unique this situation is, setting Bristol City Football Club apart from many.
