1. Matters Arising
a) Supporter survey results to be sent to #HerGameToo.
b) Senior Reds meeting – gratifying increased presence of Women’s football.
c) Fans For The Future tickets – mostly taken, 5 tickets available for Boxing Day game against WBA
d) Boards in Supporters Bar need updating - [ACTION JD, MA]
2. SLO & Police Liaison
Away tickets will be going on sale earlier than usual to take account of postal strikes. Parking system proving difficult and due to be simplified. Fan behaviour had not been brilliant; complaints about songs; police reluctant to interfere. New person appointed to develop the marketing operation. Adult replica kit has sold well; away kit sold out and third kit close to sell-out. Reward system not yet announced - [ACTION SLO]
3. Fan Led Review
FA to insist that heritage matters are included in the governance of the game. Accounts to be made more accessible to supporters and published at the end of the year.
4. Bristol City Women
AGREED for BCSC&T to underwrite the cost of experimental coaches to two away matches - [ACTION D-MW & SM]
Southampton game at Ashton Gate – decided not to open the Bar or have a stall; D-MW would be roaming to get interest for Charlton away coach.
5. Heritage
The name is to be BCFC Heritage and Archive Trust. There will be an online archive and a physical museum in the new development. The three members with equal interest will be BCFC, BCSC&T & Scott Davidson. Chairperson Stuart Rogers will be the director on behalf of BCFCT. BCSC&T liability will be a guaranteed "limit" of £1 per paying member.
SR [ACTION] will distribute the agreement when it is signed – members were asked to contact him for a copy.
6. Former Players Association
The meeting welcomed instigator Neil Palmer, who reminded us that the association celebrates its first year at the end of September. Andy Cole and Joe Jordan among others are being invited to mark the occasion at the QPR game. The ambassadors will aim to reach the supporters in the Supporters Bar and the Heineken Bar. Supporters will be able to meet the players post-match in the Lounge subject to the maximum number.
7. Hall of Fame
The voting is ready to roll. New members; men & women; will be inducted on an individual basis at selected matches and existing members will be invited – in liaison with BCFC and the FPA
8. Partnerships
Senior Reds – Paul Cheesley is their guest in September. Supporters of Bristol City Women are welcome and there is an opportunity for BCSC&T to be involved in future events
9. Finances
It is hoped to have 2021 accounts examined and therefore completed in time for our AGM. The 2022 accounts are behind schedule.
10. Associate Membership
MA introduced his draft of a new section in our Rules. The draft was broadly accepted with some refinements to be made and brought to our next meeting
11. Supporters Survey
The results would be circulated [ACTION JD]. It was interesting that the replies to the entirely online survey were skewed towards the older age groups. We will discuss the results at our next meeting then share them with the Club. Lessons have been learnt regarding the clarity of wording.
Next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 5th October 2022
