Atyeo Statue – The votes are in!
Thanks to the 1605 people who voted either online or at Ashton Gate for their choice of pose for the John Atyeo statue.
The overwhelming winner with 64% of the vote was big John with his hands in the air celebrating a goal.
Q&A at Crewe – What was said
Owner Steve Lansdown and Chief Executive John Pelling gamely fielded questions in front of a festive, and at times, noisy packed bar in Crewe. The seventh such event around the country organised by the Supporters Club & Trust came with an opening reminder of how unique this situation is, setting Bristol City Football Club apart from many.
Ashton Gate – An Asset of Community Value
In December 2014, Ashton Gate Stadium was successfully registered by the Supporters Club & Trust as an asset of community value under the Localism Act.
Hall of Fame 2014
Six City legends were inducted on Saturday 11th October into the Supporters Club & Trust Hall of Fame.
Atyeo statue design
As you will be aware, we have for some time been raising funds for a statue to honour John Atyeo. Now we need your creative input!
Golden Boot – Sam Baldock
As you will no doubt be aware, then City striker Sam Baldock was the leading goal scorer in League One for the 2013/14 season.
As the Football League does not award a trophy for this achievement, we thought it would be fitting to correct that omission.
Supporter Poll June 2014
Over 1,000 City fans took the time to complete the recent Supporters’ Club & Trust online poll and in doing so provided some very interesting results, which are well worth a look. Here are the headlines:
Petitioning
Bristol City Supporters Trust’s 30,000-strong petition for a new football stadium was hand delivered to the Bristol Council House in June 2011 to help demonstrate the level of support for the new stadium.
Board representation
One of the main aims of many Supporters Trusts and one that is stated in our manifesto is “To continue to encourage wider supporter involvement in the Club from Boardroom down, including an elected supporter’s representative with voting powers on the Board of Bristol City Football Club”.
