Get your City fix this Sunday!

Bristol City Men’s season is in full swing but for Bristol City Women, it’s only just beginning.

This coming Sunday 5th September, City Women play their first home game of the FA Women’s Championship season vs Lewes FC. Kick-off is at 3pm. It’s also the first ever competitive fixture at their base for 2021/22, the Robins High Performance Centre.

It’s the international break in the Premier League & Championship, so it’s a great opportunity to get your Bristol City fix!

Tickets for this match, and four other home fixtures – including a fixture at Ashton Gate on 14 November – are currently on sale: £7 (Adults), £5 (65+ and under 22), £4 (under 19), £3 (under 12) – prices on matchdays would be higher. Season Cards are also available, priced £55 for adults, £12 for children; and offer the same benefits as a Bristol City Membership.

Getting to the Robins High Performance Centre on Matchdays

We are really pleased to hear that the club & FirstBus have organised a matchday bus service for supporters.

Buses will depart from Haymarket near Primark (Broadmead) stopping near the Hippodrome (Centre) and near Ashton Gate before arriving at the Robins. Buses will depart from The Haymarket at 1.50pm and 2.30pm for a 3pm kick-off.

For those coming by car, there’s onsite parking at the neighbouring QEH sports ground priced £3 if booked in advance, and £5 on the day. Advanced parking bookings for respective home games can be made here.

The Robins High Performance Centre is a wheelchair accessible venue.

A fresh start and an exciting new campaign

This season sees the return of elite women’s football in Bristol after the team were based at Twerton Park, the home of Bath City FC, for the 2020/21 campaign.

Following relegation from the Barclays FA WSL (the top tier of women’s football) last year, there have been big changes at the club. The team pretty much have a whole new squad, coaching & managerial team. For new fans, it’s an exciting time to start supporting City Women. For long-time fans, it’s a great moment to reconnect.

If you’ve never been to a women’s football match before, you can expect a family friendly matchday experience in a welcoming atmosphere. Ticket prices are obviously very affordable, with refreshments and merchandise available too.

We’d love it if all City fans could get behind the team as we try to get back to the top-flight at the first attempt.

Hope to see you at the Robins High Performance Centre on the 5th September. Buying a ticket for this weekend’s game will also see supporters automatically entered into a draw to win a behind-the-scenes tour of the Robins High Performance Centre, with one other person able to accompany them.

Come on you Reds!
