Bristol City Supporters Club & Trust are pleased to reveal the new logo to celebrate 75 years since the formation of the original Bristol City Supporters Club.
This anniversary marks 75 years of community, comradery & representing supporters dating back to October 1949.
Over the decades, the Supporters Club played a major role as a community hub including a bar and skittle alley and amongst other things made major financial contributions to the building of the old Williams Stand in 1958. Subsequent to the merger with the Supporters Trust in 2012; amongst a vast list of activities which can be viewed in the Milestones section of the website; the Supporters Club & Trust has helped to ensure that we treasure our heritage by marking anniversaries such as events to pay tribute to the Ashton Gate 8 in 2007 & in 2022, and notably organised & raised money for the landmark John Atyeo statue which was completed in 2016.
Remaining an independent supporters organisation, we continue as volunteers to try our utmost to represent City supporters of both the men’s & women’s game and make your collective voice heard by the custodians of our great Club, and sometimes the authorities. The more people get involved, the more we can do, and the more representative we can be. So if you’re not already, please sign up as a member, attend our AGM to be held at the end of November (more details to be released soon) and our monthly open meetings on Zoom, which we promote on our website, social media & on OTIB.
We express gratitude to all our current & former members, board members, active volunteers, Marina Dolman OBE as our President, all our collaborators at the football club & those externally such as Avon & Somerset Police, #HerGameToo & the FSA (Football Supporters Association).
Special thanks to Tom Swain for updating our logo to mark this special occasion. The logo will be in place into 2025, which also marks 20 years since the formation of the Bristol City Supporters Trust in 2005.
Love the logo. Are you going to produce badges with the logo for supporters to wear. Unfortunately I live in Kent which is a bit too far away to travel from. However, I fly a Bristol City flag from my flag pole every time the men’s team play. Having a badge to wear would extend that support.
