1. MINUTES & MATTERS ARISING
The October minutes were accepted as a true record. Matters arising:
- 75 years logo – completed but problems uploading onto our website.
- Honours boards – MA has taken over contacting the company.
- AGM email – to be sent after this meeting – Friday deadline.
- Jobs in Supporterrs Bar [ACTION MD to compile a list]
- Lift not working –error code not being traced.[ACTION SR to pursue with other complaints]
2. SLO
- Fixture changes – there are many, which will be issued shortly.
- The Club’s You Red magazine – aimed at youngsters, it is attracting a lot of interest from other clubs.
- SLOs get-together – SLOs from different clubs were having a meeting the following week.
3. POLICE
TW gave his apologies but sent this report:
- Home fixtures with Leeds United & Sheffield United were uneventful from a Policing purpose. Just 1 supporter dealt with for cocaine possession at the Leeds match
- Away games on the whole have also been uneventful, however we did have 6 supporters ejected by stewards at Norwich for excessive drunken/anti-social behaviour which included complaints from fellow City fans about the behaviour of some of those ejected.
- 1 Bristol City fan in court on Thursday having been involved in disorder after the Oxford game. A football banning order will be applied for through the court
- In terms of upcoming games, the Plymouth fixture being a rare 3pm kick off, will have a slightly higher Police presence, as will the Portsmouth game before the New Year. Football officers will still be present at all other games.
4. BRISTOL CITY WOMEN
- The Club’s new three year strategy has been released. BCSCT had not been invited to the release nor been consulted.
- RP replied that the Club was committed to working more closely together.
- Coach to Charlton on Sunday – advertising needed to be upped.
- 10th anniversary of win vs Barcelona – some coverage but this was a missed opportunity to promote the Women’s team.
- Parking at RHPC – not well-known that parking is available on match days.
- RP added that Media/Marketing teams do not report to her in regards to City Women promotion
5. MEETINGS WITH THE CLUB
- Heritage items – supporters should feel free to send in items knowing they will be looked after. [ACTION SR]
- Drinking pilot in bowl – we are one of four clubs taking part, the Heineken Lounge area will be used. Noted was that in our last men’s survey, 52% were against the idea (but perhaps not in a limited area).
- Sporting Quarter – our request for a bigger space must be to the fore as space is due to be released at Ashton Gate. [ACTION JD to contct Mark Kelly]
- Fans Advisory Board – this is heading towards launch.
6. AOB
- SC&T Flags on match days – Section 82 have not replied to SR and do not seem interested in helping us.
- Stadium lighting – reported on OTIB that lights turned off at concerts. Simple solution is to apply guards on the lights to avoid glare across the pitch. [ACTION MD to look out concert photos]
AGREED – to invite Ross Wormald to our next meeting. [ACTION SLO]
