In November 2013, the recently-merged Bristol City Supporters Club & Trust issued an official manifesto, entitled ‘One Voice – Your Voice’, outlining the organisations objectives.

The Supporters Club & Trust runs both awards.
At the end of each season supporters are asked to nominate their supporter of the year and the players choose a winner, usually from a short list.
